Cathedral - Abbey - Roman Museum
We had 1 day in Canterbury and it was history heavy! We visited the cathedral, Roman Museum, St Martin’s Church (oldest English speaking church, it dates back to the 6th century), and finally visited St Augustine Abbey ruins. Again the heat made walking around town unpleasant and by the afternoon we decided to check into the hotel which had air con.
All the churches and the museum were good to visit, although the kids are over Roman history and looking at the inside of churches.
