Medieval site - unusual accommodation - food
We spent two nights at Mont Saint Michel in Normandy. This place is amazing - so photogenic! We stayed on the island in a two bedroom apartment with living space and kitchenette with the front door off the ramparts. Staying on the island allowed us to wander around in the evening after the bulk of the tourists had left, it also gave us a chance to explore before it got too busy the next day.
