It did not disappoint - absolutely beautiful! We wandered around the narrow streets, visited St Mark’s Square, St Mark’s Basilica, went up the viewing platform of St Mark’s Campanile (large bell tower in the square), took a gondola ride across the Grand canal and up some of the smaller canals, found a pretty garden and saw the Rialto Bridge.
