Farm Animals - rain - waterfall
We spent 2 nights in the Brecon Beacons in a barn conversion cottage. The accommodation was super cute and turned out they had chickens and pigs so the kids were able to help feed them every morning.
We had planned to hike Pen-Y-Fan mountain however, the one full day we had was raining all day and cloud had set in so we couldn’t even see the top, advice from someone on their way down was not to bother as conditions at the top were not pleasant. Instead, we drove to a small waterfall walk and did the short 20 minute walk as it was still raining. The rest of the day was spent chilling out in the cottage and playing a game of pool and darts in the shared rec room.
We did manage to explore the tow trail along the canal the afternoon we arrived before the rain set in which was a nice walk with great scenery.
Kids didn’t want to leave due to the farm animals (they also befriended the owners cats).
